Position Summary and Purpose: Coordinate the flow of material into and through various manufacturing departments to maximize customer satisfaction by achieving on-time and superior quality shipments.
Duties and Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL:
- Pull parts for various production and assembly areas from storage towers
- Assist and support direct labor co-workers to assure efficient and timely processing of production requirements through production work centers
- Expedite required information or material by contacting Purchasing or other departments as required or directed by Supervisor
- Operate pallet jack when needed to move or accumulate material required for production
- Inform supervision daily of problems that may delay on-time production scheduling
- Receive production orders
- Load storage towers with incoming parts
- Cycle count inventory
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area and perform all assignments in a safe manner and in accordance with established quality procedures
Education and Experience:
REQUIRED:
- High school diploma or certificate equivalency
- Prior work experience in a production or industrial environment
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Characteristics, etc.
REQUIRED:
- Clerical skills including PC experience
- Basic reading and writing proficiency
- Ability to climb and perform work on a ladder
- Ability to multitask

Valuable But Not Required:
- Prior warehouse, shipping or receiving experience
- Forklift experience
- UPS and FedEx shipping knowledge
- Ability to read and understand assembly prints
Tools, Technology and Equipment Used:
Handheld scanner and occasional use of power and hand tools, pallet jack, ladders, PC terminal
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. This position is active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, reaching with hands and arms, and climbing ladders daily. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and to climb or balance.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions. The noise level in the work environment can be loud at times.
The employee must regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
